International Day of Happiness: Happy Caregivers

Did you know that today is the International Day of Happiness?

I didn’t until yesterday, the 19th of March 2021.

Did you know that this awesome day is an annual recurrence since the 28th of June of 2012 when the United Nations General Assembly established it?

I didn’t until I searched online.

I can’t believe that I didn’t know that this International Day of Happiness existed!

How amazing is that?

So, let's be merry alone during isolation and lock-down.
Let's be happy together in a virtual world.

Many of us don’t think there is much to celebrate.

I can’t argue with the fact that the planet is going through unprecedented tough times, yet, is it really impossible to be happy?

Have you ever heard the expression Dum spiro, spero?

It’s Latin, Cicero apparently said it. Translated in English is: While I breathe, I hope.

As long as we breathe, there is hope.

Everything that has a beginning has an end too. It must. Nothing lasts forever.

This Covid19 will disappear. It has too.

Don’t lose hope.

Smile, laugh, eat, sing and dance like nobody's looking. At least today when the entire planet celebrates Happiness!

Smile, without a reason why… ‘Cause life is beautiful this way.

And if you can't be happy for yourself, be happy for others.
Laugh for the person you care for.
As caregivers, paid or unpaid, you have the responsibility and the duty to smile all the time. For the sake of those around you.
It's a job requirement.
