Merry Christmas to all carers and to those they care about

I don’t want to steal too much of your time during these busy holidays, but I feel the need to wish a Merry Christmas to all carers, support workers, caregivers, caretakers, domiciliary carers, care assistants etc. and to all those you care about.

For many of you, carers – paid or not – these days are lonely. Not because of the Covid epidemic, but because many of those you care about don’t have a family, no one to visit or call. It’s just you and the one or ones who need your assistance.
The ones you care for rely on you, they trust you with their health and wellbeing. Companionship is what they need most during these periods.

Make them feel cared for, not only because it’s your duty (and you’re paid for – if you are), but because you are a nice, empathetic, compassionate, kind and patient person.
Be ultra-patient and kind this Christmas. For many you care for, it can be the last on this earth. Make it special.
Sing, dance, be a clown if that makes the one you care for laugh his/her socks off. That’s what I do every day, but these days even more.
The laughter echoes in the house as it echoes in my soul and mind. I will remember these holidays for the rest of my life.

Be kind, carer, whoever, and wherever you are. Be kind for your soul. Your actions send vibes in the universe and what goes around, comes around. What you give, you shall receive.

Do unto others what you'd like others to do unto you.

And have a Merry, merry Christmas!
